Russia claims Patriot missiles, Storm Shadow depots destroyed during attack on western Ukraine
The Center for Countering Disinformation has refuted the Russian fake that a "batch of missiles for Patriot" and "warehouses with Storm Shadow missiles" were destroyed during Russia’s missile strikes on western Ukraine
The Center for Countering Disinformation reported this, according to Espreso.
As noted, the source of disinformation is the Russian Telegram channels, which, commenting on the consequences of the Russia's missile strikes on the western regions of Ukraine on 13 January 2024, wrote that the strike destroyed a "batch of missiles for Patriot SAMs" and "warehouses with Storm Shadow missiles".
"Such fakes are just another sick fantasy. The purpose of such fakes is to support the myth of "high-precision and super-powerful Russian missiles" that allegedly "always hit the target". According to the Ukrainian Air Force, "Russian missiles are getting worse and flying to God knows where". On January 13, 8 missiles were shot down, and more than 20 more did not reach their targets due to active countermeasures by means of electronic warfare," the Center stressed.
