Russia cancels Victory Day parade in Crimea on May 9
Russian-installed authorities of the temporarily occupied Crimea cancelled the 9 May parade on the peninsula for security reasons

This was announced by the so-called head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov.
"There are no plans to hold a military parade and a march of the 'Immortal Regiment' in the Republic of Crimea on May 9. This is due to security issues," he said in a statement.
According to him, despite this, the authorities are still planning to pay tribute to veterans: "In short, Crimea will celebrate the Victory Day with dignity."
- In 2023, the Russian-installed authorities also canceled the May 9 parade in Crimea.
