Russia attempts to seize logistics routes in Kostiantynivka sector with small-group tactics

Anastasia Khaletska, head of the communications department of the 4th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, spoke about this on Espreso TV.

"There are enemy attempts to take control of our logistics routes in the Kostiantynivka direction. However, if we're talking specifically about the city of Kostiantynivka and its surroundings, the Russians are now concentrating their efforts to approach the city in small groups. They are taking advantage of weather conditions—right now the weather in Donbas is quite foggy—and trying to infiltrate. This is their tactic, which has been tested in more than one direction and more than one settlement," Khaletska said.

She also emphasized that fighting in urban areas has always been difficult, regardless of whether it involves defense or offense.

"Obviously, if we're talking about urban development, it's a completely different specificity. In cities, it has always been more difficult to defend and to attack. Therefore, this factor needs to be taken into account," she added.

• During the day of December 20, there were 235 combat clashes on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces recorded 72 battles.
