Russia attacks Ukraine with strike drones at night: man killed and child injured in Pavlohrad, civilians wounded in Odesa, Zhytomyr, and Sumy regions

On the evening of Saturday, April 26, the Russian army launched strike drones over Ukraine. As a result of the attacks, casualties were reported in Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Sumy regions, with a death confirmed in Pavlohrad

Attack on Dnipropetrovsk region

According to the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Russia once again targeted the region with drones during the night — 13 were shot down by air defense forces.

At the same time, a man was killed in one of the attacks in Pavlohrad. A 14-year-old girl was also injured and is currently under medical supervision.

Two apartment buildings in the city were damaged, and a fire broke out in one of them.

There was also damage in the Verbky community of Pavlohrad district, where a drone hit an agricultural enterprise, killing 500 livestock.

In the Synelnykove district, two enterprises were damaged. A local house and a garage were destroyed.

It was noisy in the regional center as well. In Dnipro, windows were smashed in four high-rise buildings and several shops.

Consequences of the strike on the Sumy region

Russian troops also shelled a village in the Krasnopillya community of Sumy district that night. According to the regional police, five UAV strike points were recorded.

An 85-year-old woman was injured in the strikes. She was found near the impact site and taken to the hospital.

A two-story house, four private households, and a civilian car were also damaged.

Shelling of the Odesa region

The Odesa region was attacked as well. According to the prosecutor's office, a drone strike damaged a three-story residential building and several cars.

A 35-year-old local resident was injured in the attack and hospitalized.

Consequences of the attack on Zhytomyr

Fires broke out at multiple locations in Zhytomyr during the night due to Russian shelling. According to the State Emergency Service, a warehouse and dry grass caught fire.

Residential buildings, outbuildings, and cars were also damaged.

Preliminary reports say one person was injured, suffering an acute stress reaction.

  • On Saturday morning, April 26, Russian forces struck Kharkiv and the city of Derhachi in the Kharkiv region. Three people were injured.
  • Russian troops also attacked the Donetsk region with KAB bombs and drones. At least three civilians were killed and seven injured.
  • A high-rise building in the Dnipro region was hit overnight. A man was killed, and several others were injured, including a child.
