Russia attacks Ukraine with missiles and Shaheds

On the night of Thursday, May 30, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones: a critical infrastructure facility was struck in Kharkiv, and there are wounded

It is noted that in total, the Russian aggressor used 8 S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles in Kharkiv region, 11 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 MS strategic aircraft and 32 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Cape Chauda.

Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 7 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and 32 attack drones in Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kherson, Kyiv and Vinnytsia regions.

Critical infrastructure hit in Kharkiv

At 2:04 a.m., explosions occurred in Kharkiv. The mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, reported

“It's very loud in Kharkiv! Be careful!” he wrote.

Later, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, informed that the Russians had struck the region at least five times. Some of the strikes hit settlements in Kharkiv district. Terekhov said that the Russian army attacked a critical infrastructure facility in Kharkiv. 

“There is a fire at the site, a gas pipeline is cut off, and the surrounding houses were damaged - we see many broken windows,” he added.

Later, Syniehubov said that information about the victims had emerged: two people had shrapnel wounds, and one had an acute stress reaction. He also clarified that the fire started at a gas infrastructure facility.

As of the morning of May 30, 7 people were reported injured in Kharkiv as a result of a nighttime strike in Kharkiv. According to Syniehubov, missiles were fired at 2 locations. The missile hit the two-story administrative building of the municipal utility company, which was partially destroyed and started a fire. Six women and a man were lightly injured.

Also at night, the Russians attacked the village of Mala Danylivka in the Kharkiv region. In the morning, the community reported that the Russians had destroyed the arena of the Kharkiv Zooveterinary Institute.

Explosions in Khmelnytskyi region

Suspilne reported that explosions were heard during the Russian attack in Khmelnytskyi region. They were heard at 2:38 a.m., followed by repeated explosions an hour later, and the third time was loud around 4 a.m. 

According to the regional military administration, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed more than 10 Russian targets in Khmelnytskyi region. The attack caused a partial power outage in one of the cities in the region.
