Russian attack on Lyman in Donetsk region leaves 8 civilians wounded
On the afternoon of May 29, the Russian occupation army shelled Lyman, Donetsk region, injuring five women and three men
This was reported by the press service of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
"On May 29, 2024, at about 14:00, the Russian army fired on the town of Lyman. A residential neighbourhood was in the epicentre of the attack. As a result of the Russian army's attack on the frontline town, eight citizens who were in the area of the munition's impact were injured and contused. Five women and three men aged 18 to 69 were provided with qualified medical care," the statement said.
The investigation is currently establishing the type of weapon used by the enemy.
The strike also damaged three two-storey buildings. The inspection of the scene is ongoing.
Proceedings have been opened for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
