Russian forces advance in 7 directions, Ukrainian army repels 38 attacks over last day

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this.

There were 51 combat engagements during the day. In total, Russia launched 3 missile strikes, 84 airstrikes, and 71 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

There are wounded among the civilians. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

Frontline situation

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 25 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia made two offensive attempts near Synkivka and Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks near Terny and Vyimka in the Donetsk region, where the Russian forces tried to break through. More than 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled an attack near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, where the Russian army, with the support of aviation, tried to improve its tactical position. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 12 enemy attacks near Stepove, Lastochkyne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. About 20 localities were shelled with artillery and mortars.

In the Marinka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops near Heorhiivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Here, the Russian army tried to break through the Ukrainian defense 10 times. About 5 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, Russia did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. However, about 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Russia did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. However, about 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson sector, the Russian army does not abandon its intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, two attempts to storm the Ukrainian positions were made during the day. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

Ukrainian strikes against Russian military positions 

Over the course of the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 10 manpower concentration areas and 2 enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. Units of the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed another Su-34 fighter-bomber and 3 reconnaissance UAVs.

Missile troops struck at 5 manpower concentration areas, 2 fuel and lubricant depots, 3 command posts, 8 artillery pieces, and a Russian radar station.
