It has been repeatedly warned at the global level that labeling Russia as a terrorist state is both unsuccessful and dangerous, as highlighted by Professor Volodymyr Vasylenko.
But the Russian Federation is now leveling baseless accusations of terrorist activity against Ukraine.
What should have been our consistent approach from the start?
Ukraine has every reason to seek the indictment of the entire top leadership of the Russian Federation for international criminal offenses, including:
Accusing the leadership of a country of such crimes is extremely serious. However, instead of directly accusing the Russian Federation of their actions, we have chosen to invent legal euphemisms.
By doing so, their accusations of terrorism against us will be met with our accusations against them. This makes it much harder, even for skilled propagandists from Russia, to lodge claims against Ukraine for international criminal offenses.
