Rubio frustrated as Putin fails to honor ceasefire agreements — Espreso journalist
Espreso correspondent Tetiana Vysotska says that during the meeting of the NATO North Atlantic Council at the level of foreign ministers, all member states expressed their support for Ukraine
She said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed concern and frustration from the United States over Russia's failure to comply with ceasefire agreements," Vysotska emphasized.
According to Tetiana Vysotska, despite negotiations with the United States on a ceasefire, Russia refuses to fulfill the conditions: a ceasefire within 30 days and refrain from attacking energy facilities. Instead, Putin is putting forward new demands.
"The U.S., Europe, and Canada are actively discussing how to force Russia to comply with the terms. Canada's Foreign Minister proposed setting a clear deadline for Putin to decide whether to halt attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities, as agreed, or continue the war," Vysotska explained.
The Espreso correspondent added that European countries strongly support the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine.
"A coalition of countries led by France and the United Kingdom plans to hold a new meeting at NATO headquarters on April 10 to discuss military support initiatives in detail. Ministers emphasized that in recent weeks, NATO members and Ukraine's allies have pledged about 20 billion euros in military aid," Vysotska noted.
- On Friday, April 4, the second day of the meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of foreign ministers begins in Brussels.
