"Significant potential": many women applying to recruitment centers, says Ukraine Defense Ministry
Oleksiy Bezhevets, the authorized representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense for recruitment, reported that up to 20% of applications at some recruitment centers in Ukraine are from women
He said this during the national United News telethon.
According to Bezhevets, the share of women among people who apply to recruiting centers and are generally interested in positions in the Ukrainian Defense Forces sometimes reaches 20%.
“This means that the potential is significant. Today, women have the opportunity to find themselves in military service and realize their potential as specialists. There are no regulatory restrictions on this,” the Defense Ministry official said.
He added that in terms of demand for professions, vacancies in units related to unmanned aerial vehicles, ground drones, and intelligence are popular among all recruits.
