Russian forces intensify in Kharkiv region, maintain pressure in Pokrovsk direction – General Staff

In the past 24 hours, 123 combat clashes occurred at the front. Russian forces are most actively attacking Ukrainian Defense Force positions in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Lyman directions

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces are attempting to dislodge the Ukrainian Defense Forces from their positions with the support of aviation, dropping two guided aerial bombs on the city. Additionally, they targeted the Liptsy area with three more UAVs and one near Zakharivka. Russia is conducting air strikes from its airspace, specifically from the direction of Belgorod and Shebekino.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks, and another one is ongoing. The fighting took place near Pishchane, Hrekivka and Makiivka. Russian forces are suffering losses, the data is being clarified.

In the Siversk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russia has been trying to break through the Ukrainian defense near Ivanodaryivka and Rozdolivka, fighting continues. The attack near the village of Vyimka was repelled.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops maintain the intensity of offensive actions. They are concentrating their efforts near Novooleksandrivka and Yevhenivka, where combat clashes continue in eight locations. A total of 20 attacks have already taken place in this area today.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops tried in vain to storm the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near Staromayorske.

In the Kherson direction, Russia attacked Ukrainian defenders once on the left bank of the Dnipro River, but was unsuccessful.

In other directions, the situation remains unchanged.

  • Yesterday, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated at least 1,080 Russian soldiers and destroyed dozens of pieces of equipment.
