Ukraine targets Russian military infrastructure in Luhansk
Artem Lysohor, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, says that only the old and well-equipped military infrastructure of the Russians is being hit in the city
He said this on Telegram.
Lysohor noted that local observers are spreading information about 7 to 20 explosions, “possibly along with attempts to intercept and hit the city.”
He said that all the videos of the city's shelling were localized in the area of Hostra Mohyla, near the former Higher Military School of Navigators, where, according to Lysohor, Russian forces have settled down.
It also has an airport, an aircraft repair plant, and a highway to the Russian border.
"The Russian army is using this highway day and night to transport cargo, weapons, and personnel stationed in the same barracks of the flight school. As well as in the area of the former regional military enlistment office," the statement says.
Also, for the fourth time in the last two months, strikes on the oil depot were reported. Lysohor emphasizes that the hits were recorded only on the Russian troops' old and well-equipped military infrastructure.
"The weapons provided to us by our Western allies are extremely accurate. Unfortunately, the Russians always hide behind civilians, and if air defense systems had not been working over residential areas, there would have been no reports of civilian casualties, let alone children," he adds.
- On May 7, there were explosions in occupied Luhansk and an oil depot caught fire, and on the night of May 10, another oil depot burned in Rovenky.
- On May 20, explosions were heard in Luhansk, a possible missile strike on the Russian base.
