“Other commercial facilities were also damaged. A fire broke out with an area of 260 square meters - rescuers eliminated it,” the statement said.

The day before, on October 24, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin and the regional prosecutor's office reported that the Russian army had struck a Nova Poshta branch in Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka in Donetsk region. Two people were killed and one was injured.

“On October 24, 2024, at about 4:30 p.m., the Russian army fired on the village of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk district. The Russian terrorists targeted a civilian infrastructure facility - one of the local post offices. As a result of the Russian attack, a 19-year-old employee and a 21-year-old citizen sustained injuries incompatible with life," the prosecutor's office reported.

At the same time, a 37-year-old man sustained a mine-blast injury as a result of a Russian strike. He was taken to a medical facility.

Filashkin clarified that the enemy struck a civilian object - a Nova Poshta branch. The administrative buildings were also damaged.

“A search and rescue operation is underway at the site of the strike, and the State Emergency Service is extinguishing the fire,” he added.

Later, Nova Poshta reported that its employee Andriy Smoliar was killed in a Russian strike.

“Unfortunately, our colleague Andriy Smoliar was killed. Other employees are safe. One more person was also killed and one is wounded, he is currently in the hospital. We are in touch with our colleagues and are contacting the relatives of the deceased to provide the necessary support and assistance,” the Nova Poshta said in a statement.
