Northern Donetsk region loses power amid reports of Sloviansk thermal power plant strike
As of Sunday morning, September 15, the northern part of the Donetsk region experienced a power outage caused by Russian shelling. Reports indicate that Russia targeted the Sloviansk thermal power plant

Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, confirmed the attack.
“The northern part of the Donetsk region is without electricity due to shelling. This morning, Russians damaged an infrastructure facility,” he stated.
Filashkin added that repair work to restore the power supply will begin as soon as the security situation permits.
The outlet Novyny Donbasa reports that the Sloviansk thermal power plant in Mykolaivka, Donetsk region, was shelled.
The Ukrposhta office was also hit, and there are initial reports of casualties. Power is out in Sloviansk, Druzhkivka, and Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region.
- Russian forces still have troops stationed at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, along with ammunition and explosives. Currently, around 1,300 Russian National Guard soldiers are stationed there.
