North Korean army units replenished after losses in Kursk region – HUR
After suffering losses during assaults in Kursk, DPRK army units are being reinforced with fresh personnel to sustain active combat operations

This information was reported by Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR).
According to the report, on December 14 and 15, in the areas of Plyokhovo, Vorozhba, and Martynovka in the Kursk region of Russia, DPRK army units lost at least 30 soldiers, either killed or wounded.
Additionally, HUR stated that at least three North Korean servicemen went missing near the village of Kurilovka.
"To compensate for these losses, assault groups are being replenished with fresh personnel, particularly from the DPRK army's 94th Separate Brigade, to continue active combat operations in Kursk," the intelligence agency noted.
- On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for the first time, officially acknowledged the involvement of North Korean fighters in offensive operations against Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region, which has resulted in "significant losses" for them.
- On the same day, Ukrainian military intelligence, HUR, reported the first confirmed losses among the North Koreans, stating that 200 soldiers had been killed. Additionally, according to Ukrainian sources, Kim Jong-un's soldiers mistakenly targeted and killed eight of Kadyrov's supporters.
