This is according to Defense Forces spokesperson Dmytro Lykhoviy.
The spokesperson rejected the notion of a threat to Zaporizhzhia and dismissed claims about Russia's "large-scale offensive" plans.
"The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction is stable. While there is a significant concentration of Russian forces, comparable to Avdiivka, it's crucial to consider the geographic differences. Avdiivka is a narrow urban strip, just a few kilometers long. There is a sizable Russian presence, and they all move through this bottleneck," Lykhoviy clarified.
Lykhoviy explained that the Russian contingent in the Zaporizhzhia direction spans from Donetsk to Dnipropetrovsk regions and is spread out along the front line, which, when divided into smaller sections, poses less of a threat.
"There's no 'double advantage,' no imminent threat to Zaporizhzhia, as some might interpret. The situation there is stable," emphasized the spokesperson.
