'No food is being sold in Ukraine due to power outages': foreign manipulations for July 19
The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of anti-Ukrainian manipulations launched by the world media on July 19
According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, two manipulations appeared in the world on July 19.
Manipulation: Australian blogger Semyon Boykov wrote on his X page: “Supermarkets across Ukraine are not selling food due to massive power outages. Stop NATO and save what's left of Ukraine.”
Refutation: The blackouts in Ukraine are the result of Russian shelling of Ukraine's critical infrastructure. Therefore, it is Russia that needs to be stopped, not Ukraine's allies who are helping it defend itself against Russian terror.
Manipulation: American co-host of the Redacted podcast Natali Morris said: “Vladimir Putin is calling Ukraine's bluff by claiming that they have always been ready for peace talks, and in fact the evidence supports this. We have been covering this for 2.5 years now, and we are tired of saying that Russia is ready to cease fire. Ukraine is organizing a political theater and refusing, and at the same time people are dying.”
Refutation: With his theses, Morris is trying to portray Russia as the only party in the Russian-Ukrainian war that wants peace. In fact, Ukraine is making great efforts to end the war at the negotiating table, as evidenced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula and the Peace Summit. Instead, Russia only imitates its readiness for a diplomatic settlement of the conflict, hiding behind its “peace agreement” that essentially calls for Ukraine's surrender.

Earlier, former US Secretary of Defense Douglas McGregor said that the West allegedly pushed Putin to attack Ukraine.
