No “bad Europeans” or “good Russians”
According to Ukraine Support Tracker, there is no EU country that hasn’t helped Ukraine during the war. Even Hungary provides assistance
When Ukrainians hide in basements under Russian bombs, the thought “but some of them are good Russians” definitely isn’t the first that comes to mind. The debate about “good Russians” might be appropriate in peaceful times. Right now, there is neither the strength nor the time for that — in our worldview, people are divided only into those who help Ukraine fight and everyone else.
The same applies to the division between “good” and “bad” Europeans.
Europe is our main ally, and it stands with us.
According to Ukraine Support Tracker, there is not a single EU country that hasn’t helped Ukraine during the war. For example, Hungary, despite numerous disinformation campaigns from its leadership, has still allocated 0.032% of its GDP for humanitarian needs. Yes, it could have done more, but even this help is valuable.
Ukraine continues to defend itself. The chances of quickly ending the war through diplomatic means — as some Western politicians would like — are currently minimal.
But we see support from European allies, so we have no “bad Europeans.” We see support from the United States, so we have no “bad Americans.” And we see what Russia is doing. So yes — we have no “good Russians” either.
