Night attack on Ukraine: Air defense destroys 97 Russian drones

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the report, starting at 19:00 on March 22, Russian forces launched 147 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of simulator drones from Millerovo, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as from the temporarily occupied Prymorsk in the Zaporizhzhia region.

As of this morning, the military confirmed the downing of 97 Russian drones across the south, north, west, and center of the country. Additionally, 25 Russian simulator drones were lost.

The Air Force noted that this night, Russia deployed a significantly higher number of strike UAVs — at least 122 — along with 25 simulator drones.

• The Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Donetsk regions were affected by the Russian attack. Drones were recorded falling in several districts of Kyiv, resulting in casualties, including the death of a 5-year-old child. There are also injuries and destruction in the Kyiv region.
