
Netherlands to provide Ukraine with new €175 million military aid package
On June 24, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth €175 million including Includes radars and 20 CASEVAC vehicles
He wrote about this on the social media platform X.
The new military aid package will include anti-drone radars and 20 unmanned modular Ermine CASEVAC vehicles for evacuating the wounded.
In addition, the Netherlands is allocating an additional €80 million for drones as part of an international “drone coalition.” The country has previously announced an investment of €20 million in this project.
The country's Defense Ministry noted that the support package complements the recently announced €400 million in military assistance to Ukraine. It includes more than 100 vessels - patrol boats, transport boats, interceptors, special operations ships, and maritime drones.
Defense Minister Brekelsman also announced that the Netherlands has signed contracts with Ukraine to produce more than half a million drones.
Brekelmans emphasized that Russia’s brutal air strikes highlight the need for continued support for Ukraine. He noted that contracts had been signed with Ukrainian companies to produce 600,000 drones and announced a new €175 million aid package, which includes radar systems, UAVs, and drones.
