Moscow will drag out negotiations as long as possible

Russia has de facto dropped its demand of "elections first, then real negotiations"

From what I understand, a very preliminary agreement is being worked on for the following roadmap:

  1. Ceasefire.
  2. Simultaneously, a framework document will be signed (the signatories are still being decided, as I understand).
  3. This framework document will include a set of decisions (laws, decrees, resolutions, both in Ukraine and Russia).
  4. Elections as soon as possible.

"I'll repeat: this is a very preliminary option, and the Russians will try to sabotage it, primarily using Ukrainians as pawns. Their goal right now is not negotiations but to stall."

What will the Russians do?

  1. They will set deliberately impossible conditions (from disqualifying certain politicians from elections to demanding the liquidation of our defense industry).
  2. We can be sure that information campaigns like "Why are the negotiations happening behind closed doors?" and "There are secret protocols" will be launched.

The goal of the Russians is to destabilize the already fragile internal situation.

I won’t be revealing anything new when I say that at this stage, information security becomes a fundamental challenge within the country.
