According to Russian news agency Interfax, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment directly on the incident, saying it falls under the jurisdiction of Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
He added, “The EU and NATO leadership accuse Russia of provocations daily, often without even attempting to provide any arguments,” when asked about allegations against Moscow.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that “no targets on Polish territory were planned for strikes” and claimed that the maximum flight range of the drones allegedly crossing into Poland did not exceed 700 kilometers.
The ministry also added that it remains open to consultations with Poland’s defense authorities.
