Italy’s defense minister blames Moscow for sabotaging Trump-led peace efforts
Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto has accused Russia of disrupting Trump's peace efforts to broker a ceasefire in Ukraine, saying the Kremlin is not serious about reaching a truce

The outlet noted that Italy's conservative government is ideologically close to U.S. President Donald Trump and, unlike many other European countries, refuses to criticize his policies.
While Rome has welcomed Washington's efforts to end the war in Ukraine, ministers have privately expressed concern about Trump's handling of Kyiv and openly warned that Russia may try to deceive him.
"Nothing has changed with the Russians," Crosetto emphasized. "It is clear the Russians want to continue with the attacks as they have over the past three years."
