Russia covertly producing explosives at Crimean chemical plant under guise of fertilizer
The Atesh partisan movement scouted the Crimean Titan plant near Armiansk in Crimea, where explosives may be produced under the guise of fertilizer production
The Atesh guerrilla movement reports.
According to intelligence data, the plant continues to operate, and Russian forces are trying to protect it by deploying camouflaged air defense systems in nearby groves.
Partisan sources report that the occupying authorities are using the facility, which officially produces titanium dioxide, to manufacture explosives under the guise of producing ammonium fertilizers.
“The Crimean Titan enterprise is the largest producer of titanium dioxide (primarily used in the chemical industry) in Eastern Europe. There is also a well-founded suspicion that, under the guise of 'ammonium fertilizer production facilities' announced by the Russians, the plant is manufacturing explosives,” the statement reads.
The partisans also noted that security measures at the plant have been strengthened; despite this, the Atesh group continues to monitor the facility. Collected data is promptly passed on to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
- Reports indicate that Russian forces have resumed using the Crimean bridge to transport equipment through the occupied territories.
