"Goal is to kill Ukrainians more efficiently": expert Stupak on personnel rotations in Russia's Defense Ministry
Military expert Ivan Stupak believes that the main purpose of personnel rotations in the Russian Defense Ministry is to streamline cash flows for more efficient weapons production
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"If we are talking about personnel rotations in the Russian Ministry of Defense, this is just a search for ways to kill Ukrainians more efficiently. The appointment of Belousov - his main task will be not to interfere in military affairs. He will have to organize all the cash flows in the Russian army. We must realize that there is a lot of money there. Even without taking an active part in the distribution of these funds, one can become a very wealthy person," Stupak explained.
According to the expert, Russians will not be able to completely overcome corruption in the Defense Ministry
"That's why they are trying to calm things down and organize everything by personnel rotations in the Defense Ministry. The main thing is cash flow. In particular, corruption. However, they are not trying to overcome it, but only to organize it for more efficient production of weapons, ammunition, etc. Shoigu failed to do all this," he added.
- On May 12, Sergei Shoigu resigned as head of the Russian Defense Ministry.
- According to ISW, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin replaced Sergei Shoigu with Andrei Belousov as Russia's defense minister, moving Shoigu to the post of security council secretary instead of Nikolai Patrushev in order to prepare for a protracted war in Ukraine and a future confrontation with NATO.
- British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps reacted to the personnel changes in Russia, calling Belousov, who was appointed to the post of defense minister instead of Shoigu, another Putin puppet.
