German companies cooperate with Russia in occupied Mariupol - investigation

German companies in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, Donetsk region, are actively cooperating with Russia to "rebuild" the destroyed city

The Tagesschau investigation reports.

The statement mentioned that in annual reports, on company websites, in photos, and videos, there exists evidence and proof indicating the significant involvement of German companies in the reconstruction of Mariupol.

It is noted that the German company Knauf, which specializes in the production of building materials, is involved.

WKB Systems, which manufactures equipment for the construction of cellular concrete, also cooperates with Russia and is also used in Mariupol. The main shareholder of WKB Systems is Russian oligarch Viktor Budarin. He therefore uses his German company as a supplier to the Russian construction industry.
