General Staff reports 99 combat clashes along Russian-Ukrainian frontline

Since the start of November 6, 99 combat engagements have taken place at the front. The most intense fighting is happening in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors

Ukraine’s General Staff reported.

Russia is continuing to attack the border regions of Sumy and Chernihiv. Volfyne, Zarichchia, Yanzhulivka, Rohizne, Bachivsk, Leonivka, Zhuravka, Pavlivka, Bilovody, Krasnyi Khutir, Basivka, Chuikivka, Mykolaivka, and Liskivshchyna have been hit by artillery fire. Russian aircraft also dropped seven guided bombs on the Kursk region.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near Starytsia, but all Russian attacks were successfully repelled.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia launched six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, and Kruhliakivka. The General Staff reported that Russian forces faced a strong response there.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces are trying to advance near Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Torske, and Terny. Since the start of the day, there have been seven combat engagements in this area, with two still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, two firefights are ongoing near Bilohorivka, with one Russian attack already repelled by Ukrainian forces.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the invaders launched one attack near Klishchiivka. The Russian army is also heavily using aviation, dropping bombs on the areas of Minkivka and Pryvillia.

In the Toretsk sector, the number of Russian attacks has risen to four. Russian troops targeted areas near Toretsk, Diliivka, and Shcherbynivka. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled two of these attacks, and two more engagements are currently underway.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia launched 24 attacks in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Hryhorivka, Selydove, and Novooleksiivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 19 of these attacks, and five combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two attacks near Trudove and Maksymivka. Four firefights are still ongoing near Trudove.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled a Russian attack on Novoandriivka. The Russian army also used bomber aircraft to strike Mala Tokmachka, Omelnyk, and Vilnianka, dropping eight guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they attacked Kamianske with unguided aerial missiles.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, two Russian attacks were unsuccessful.

The General Staff noted that there have been no significant changes in other areas of the front.

  • Over the past day, the occupying Russian forces lost another 1,250 soldiers and a number of military equipment on the Russian-Ukrainian front.
