
Poland appoints first female F-16 fighter pilot in history
For the first time in Polish history, a female officer has become an F-16 fighter pilot. Another female pilot is currently undergoing training

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, head of the Polish Defense Ministry, announced this on the social network X.
"Important news for our Air Force and all the Armed Forces of Poland – the first woman has become an F-16 pilot! The female officer serves at the 32nd Tactical Aviation Base in Łask. She trained in the USA and is now able to pilot our fighters. Warm congratulations!" wrote Kosiniak-Kamysz.
He also mentioned that another female pilot is currently undergoing training at the 31st Base in Krzesiny.
- Earlier, Poland said that after the airspace over Ukraine is reopened, it wants to be the first to resume flights to Ukrainian cities.
