
Finland announces new €200 million military aid package for Ukraine
On Thursday, March 13, Finland announced its 28th military aid package for Ukraine, valued at 200 million euros
Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov reported the information.
“Today in Helsinki, I had a meaningful meeting with Finland’s Minister of Defense, Antti Häkkänen. Finland continues to provide systematic support to Ukraine and has announced a new military aid package worth €200 million. This is the 28th aid package, strengthening our defense capabilities and enhancing the effectiveness of Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” Umerov said.
He also announced that the Finnish government has launched a EUR 660 million program to purchase military equipment directly from the Finnish defense industry for transfer to Ukraine.
Additionally, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding on defense cooperation.

- Strengthening defense capabilities and operational interoperability
- Developing cooperation in defense technologies, research, and innovation
- Expanding ammunition production and defense-industrial projects in Ukraine and Finland
“Finland is a reliable partner making a significant contribution to the security of not only Ukraine but all of Europe. I am grateful to the Finnish government and people, as well as my colleague Antti Häkkänen, for their strategic vision and support,” added the Ukrainian Defense Minister.
- In late February, Finland announced the allocation of 4.5 million euros to support Ukraine. The money will go to the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine fund for 2025-2027.
