Russia damages 1,642 medical facilities in Ukraine, completely destroying 214 of them
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian occupation forces have completely destroyed 214 Ukrainian medical facilities and damaged 1,642
This was reported by the Ministry of Health.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has been systematically shelling Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities. As a result of these attacks, 1,642 medical facilities in 676 healthcare institutions were damaged, and 214 facilities in 99 healthcare institutions were completely destroyed. The Russians are targeting hospitals, maternity hospitals, outpatient clinics and polyclinics," the ministry says.
It is noted that medical institutions in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions have suffered the most from Russian aggression.
At the same time, the agency emphasizes that Ukraine has fully or partially restored 885 medical facilities in different regions over the past two years: 523 of them have been fully restored and another 362 have been partially restored.
According to the Ministry of Health, most medical facilities have been restored in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Dnipro regions.
