Drone fragments found near Ukrainian border in Romania

Drone fragments were found on a farm in Romania near the border with Ukraine

Sky News reports this with reference to the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that the farm is located near the Danube River, which divides Ukraine and Romania in the southwestern part of Ukraine.

Several military search teams were dispatched to Great Braila Island for investigation, local media report.

Local residents report hearing "strange sounds" and have shared footage showing a drone falling from the sky.

"On the evening of 28 March, fragments that appear to have come from an aerial device [drone] on a farmland in the Great Braila Island were identified. The Ministry of National Defence, together with specialised structures within the national defence system, public order and national security, is conducting an investigation of the incident on Friday 29 March according to specific operational procedures," stated the defense department.

This occurred after Moldova's authorities reported three explosions near its border with Ukraine overnight, according to local media reports.

On the evening of March 28, the Russian army launched several groups of Shahed drones, and in the early hours of March 29, it attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
