Ukrainian troops destroy a Russian BMD-4 from Javelin
Ukrainian military shared a video shot in one of the southern directions where they destroyed an infantry fighting vehicle from Javelin
Operational Command West posted the video on Telegram.
"On one of the southern directions, the Russians were trapped and our military destroyed a BMD-4 from Javelin and then eliminated all enemy personnel," the caption reads.
For reference: The BMD-4 is a post-Cold War Russian amphibious infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) developed from the BMD-3. Designed for the Russian Airborne Troops (VDV). While maintaining similarities in ergonomics and passenger positioning, the BMD-4 differs primarily in armament. The Bakhcha-U turret features a 100 mm 2A70 rifled gun, a 30 mm 2A72 coaxial autocannon, and a 7.62 mm PKT coaxial machine gun.
