DeepState: Russia seizes Umanske in Pokrovsk direction, advances to Ivanivka in Kupyansk direction. General Staff yet to confirm
According to the Ukrainian non-governmental monitoring project DeepState, Russian troops have taken control of Umanske village in Donetsk region
On May 26, 2024, the project shared the information on its Telegram channel.
“The Russians occupied Umanske and advanced in Ivanivka," the statement said.
The village of Umanske in the Pokrovsk direction (Donetsk region) is located between Ocheretyne, which is already occupied by Russian troops, and Karlivka, towards which the Russian forces are trying to advance.
In its turn, Ukrainian General Staff has not yet confirmed the complete capture of Umanske.
The operational information as of 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2024, contains the following lines:
“The Pokrovsk direction has the highest intensity of Russian attacks today - in total, Russian occupiers have tried to improve the tactical situation 24 times. Currently, 5 combat clashes are taking place near Novooleksandrivka and Yasnobrodivka, and one more in the areas of Kalynove, Sokil and Umanske."
Ivanivka is a village in the Kupyansk direction (Kharkiv region), where serious fighting is also taking place.
