Canada to provide 450 SkyRanger UAVs to Ukraine
Canada will start transferring 450 SkyRanger drones to Ukraine in the summer, and Lithuania will allocate €3 million for the production of FPV drones
This was reported by Ukraine's Defense Ministry following an extraordinary meeting of the drone coalition.
"The situation on the frontline is changing every day, and Russia continues to attack civilian targets, especially energy infrastructure. We need tools for an asymmetric response. The time to discuss solutions is running out, and we need it now," says Ukraine's Deputy Dfense Minister Kateryna Chernohorenko.
The ministry said that at an extraordinary meeting of the steering group of the drone coalition, it became known that Canada would begin transferring 450 SkyRanger multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles this summer. Lithuania will allocate €3 million to Ukraine for the production of FPV drones, and Germany will provide VECTOR 211 reconnaissance UAVs.
The Netherlands has confirmed its desire to contract a €200 million batch of Heidrun RQ-35 drones together with Denmark and Germany.
