The UK Ministry of Defense reported the information.
The Mohajer-6 is an Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicle that Russia uses to monitor the Black Sea and Crimea. It detects targets and can also drop guided munitions.
"Its practical range is limited by line of sight to maintain real-time operator control: approximately 200 km at 10,000 ft. This can be extended by handover to another ground control station," the report says.
The intelligence community suggests that Russia is trying to use this UAV to identify threats to Russian ports and vessels after Ukraine's recent successes.
Instead, according to intelligence, Ukraine managed to destroy one such UAV on September 23, 2022, over the Black Sea. At the same time, Russia itself probably shot down its own drone over Crimea on June 6, 2023.
On November 21, Ukrainian air defense successfully worked over the Black Sea and destroyed a Russian Mohajer-6.
