The report came from the British Ministry of Defense.
Russian equipment losses in Ukraine keep climbing, intelligence officials stated.
Since February 2022, Russia has reportedly lost over 3,600 main battle tanks and nearly 8,000 armored vehicles.
British analysts say this has forced Russia to rely on outdated, poorly maintained Soviet-era equipment stored in strategic warehouses. These vehicles are being pulled from storage, upgraded where possible, and sent to the front lines.
Satellite images show a significant decrease in armored vehicles at tank bases in Arsenyev, Buya, and Ulan-Ude since 2022, the report adds.
- In the last 24 hours alone, Russia’s occupation forces lost 1,600 soldiers in Ukraine. Ukrainian defense forces also destroyed four tanks and 15 enemy armored vehicles.
