Boomerang effect: Ukrainian militaries land and reprogram Russian FPV drones
Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Shevtsov, the spokesman for the Stalevyi Kordon (Steel Frontier) assault brigade, noted that the intercepted Russian drones are undergoing some "rehabilitation", reconfiguration, reprogramming and soon they will be used in the opposite direction.
He shared this information with Espreso TV.
"During this year, in the Kharkiv region, fighters of the Steel Frontier assault brigade successfully landed about 20 enemy FPV drones. These drones are not destroyed but undergo some rehabilitation, are being reconfigured, reprogrammed and will be used in the opposite direction in the future. The boomerang effect will work and the enemy will get their drones back, but with explosives," said the chief of the press service.
According to him, the Russian army has not reduced the use of kamikaze drones, and 10 to 20 drones are launched daily regardless of weather conditions. Over the past day, 23 hostile attacks with such drones took place.
"We are constantly working to increase, echelon, and improve EW and ELINT assets. The enemy is also increasing the use of such means. This is a war, so there is a constant struggle. Nowadays, the main dangerous means of destruction are unmanned aerial vehicles. The more we use drones, the more we use electronic warfare and electronic intelligence means," said Ivan Shevtsov.
