This was reported by Ukraine’s Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko.

Among the crimes of the Russian army in Mariupol in March 2022 are the bombing of the Drama Theater, where hundreds of civilians, including children, were killed; an airstrike on the maternity ward, where women in labor and newborns were; and the destruction of dozens of residential buildings, hospitals, and schools.

"Specific people were behind these attacks. Today, prosecutors from the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported suspicion to the Lieutenant General of the Russian Armed Forces. With his approval, the city was attacked by enemy aircraft in March 2022. Violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder, is a war crime with no statute of limitations," Ruslan Kravchenko said.

The crime carries the highest penalty.
