Russian-backed authorities in Berdiansk report UAV attack on port
On October 31, a drone attack on the city port was reported in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk. As a result, public institutions, including schools, have suspended operations in the city
Berdiansk's administration reported the information.
“This morning, the criminal Kyiv regime carried out a terrorist attack on the city's port, allegedly using kamikaze drones. The air defense system was activated. All duty and operational services are on the spot and have started working,” the statement said.
As a result of the alleged attack, public institutions, including schools and kindergartens, will remain closed. Local residents are advised to stay indoors, avoid traveling by car, and keep away from windows if possible.
Viktor Dudukalov, deputy chairman of the Berdiansk District Council, told Espreso TV that at least six hits were counted in the city.
"Since 6 a.m. today, we [in Berdiansk] have been facing a very tense situation with Russian air defense. At least six hits have been counted, primarily in the port area. There is smoke, ambulances are on the scene, and certain streets in the city center leading to the port are blocked. The occupiers claim that everything is fine and under control, yet they have decided to take today off and are urging everyone to stay at home, despite ‘everything being under control,’" he stated.
