Baltic states condemn Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine, urge pressure on Russia
Following Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian cities during the night of June 17, Lithuania and Estonia emphasized that only sustained pressure can halt Moscow’s aggression
European officials shared their statements on X.
Estonia’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna reposted a message from Ukraine’s president showing footage of a Kyiv apartment building where all nine floors of one section collapsed after a direct hit.

"Another night of russian terror in Ukraine. This is putin’s response to calls for ceasefire: more violence. He will only choose peace if he is forced to," Inga Tolockiene, Lithuania's ambassador to Ukraine, wrote.
“The root cause of this aggression is Russia itself, and it must be addressed without delay. The 18th EU sanctions package must be adopted now,” wrote Lithuania’s Foreign Minister, Kestutis Budrys.
Latvia’s Foreign Minister, Baiba Braže, shared a post from President Zelenskyy without additional comments.
