Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence, stated that in an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer.
He admits that strikes on Russian refineries might not turn the tide of the war.
However, he believes that these attacks can damage the Russian economy and undermine morale, affecting the military as a whole.
Budanov also considers any Russian military target within an 800-kilometer sea radius fair game for Ukrainian Magura surface drones.
- On the night of June 20-21, Ukrainian drones targeted Russia's Krasnodar region, hitting four oil refineries. Russian air defense claimed to have destroyed or intercepted 43 drones.
