Around 7,000 civilians remain in Ukraine’s Pokrovsk as evacuation continues
Currently, 6,960 civilians remain in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. The evacuation is ongoing
The head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported the information, according to Ukrinform.
"Currently, there are 6,960 people in the city of Pokrovsk... The situation in Pokrovsk is the most difficult; the Russians are destroying the city with airstrikes every day, and it is very difficult to deliver humanitarian aid because FPV drones are constantly flying over the city in large numbers," Filashkin noted.
According to him, the evacuation of the population from the city is ongoing. The police, rescuers, local authorities, and volunteers are involved in this effort.
"The evacuation takes place at specific times when the security situation and weather allow. This means people can still be evacuated, and we are doing that," the head of the Regional Military Administration emphasized.
- As of January 6, 7,300 residents remained in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
