Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum, Prime Minister of Ukraine (2014-2016), while attending the Warsaw Security Forum, said that the unity of Europe and the United States is a prerequisite for Ukraine's victory in the war

He said this on the Espreso TV channel.

"We may find ourselves in a new reality after January 20, when the American president will be inaugurated. But without the United States, it will be extremely difficult for us to win this war, almost impossible. Therefore, the unity of Europe and the United States is a prerequisite for our winning this war," he said.

Ukraine can receive support from the U.S. only with bipartisan support, Yatsenyuk said.

"If it were not for the Republican votes in the Congress, Ukraine would not have received an aid package worth almost $61 billion. There is a wing of right-wing radical, so-called MAGA Republicans who do not support Ukraine. But a significant part of the Republican Party, which is associated with Reagan, supports Ukraine. When we talk about the US presidential election, we must not forget that at this point there will be not only a presidential election, but also elections to the House of Representatives and the Senate. And without the Senate and the House of Representatives, it is impossible to make any decision on assistance to Ukraine. As of today, we have the level of assistance until the end of President Biden's mandate. In his meeting with President Zelenskyy, he clearly stated that he had instructed the Pentagon to complete the allocation of all resources that have already been voted to support Ukraine," he said.

The plan proposed by U.S. vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance is absolutely unacceptable for Ukraine. This is the path to Ukraine's capitulation, Yatsenyuk added.

"No one knows who will be the President of the United States, it will be determined by the American people. But J.D. Vance is the candidate of former President Donald Trump. This path is not acceptable for Ukraine. It's good that Zelenskyy was able to meet with President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump. At least this does not allow any political camp to accuse Ukraine of interfering in the elections or of cooperating with only one political force," he concluded.

  • According to Politico, U.S. presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris is 2% ahead of Republican Party representative Donald Trump in the key state of Pennsylvania.
