Adaptive clothing for wounded soldiers to be introduced in Ukraine's Armed Forces
Ukraine's Armed Forces will have adaptive clothing for the wounded, which will allow the military to quickly change clothes in stabilization centers or hospitals
Ukraine's Defense Ministry reports.
The main requirements for adaptive clothing are comfort for the wounded, manufacturability, and durability. The kit will include a T-shirt, shorts, pants, a T-shirt and a raglan.
"All the clothes should be unzipped along the side seams with special textile fasteners that should not touch the patient's skin and cause irritation. These and other technological features are designed to make the set of clothes comfortable even for sedentary wounded," the ministry said.
The size chart of the suits is provided in 5 sizes and will have 3 increments. The Defense Ministry emphasizes that the clothes will be comfortable for both men and women.
"Our goal is to ensure that every wounded soldier receives this kit. After all, most of them are left without the basic necessities after being evacuated from the battlefield to staging areas or hospitals. There is still a lot of regulatory and testing work ahead, but the main step has already been taken," Natalia Kalmykova told the Deputy Defense Minister.
Currently, several models of Ukrainian manufacturers are being finalized and will be tested in practical conditions during military research trials.
