97% of Russian attacks target civilian infrastructure - Ukraine in OSCE
Only 3% of Russian missiles, drones and guided bombs hit military targets. The rest are aimed at the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine
This was stated by Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Mission to the OSCE Victoria Kuvshynnykova during a meeting of the Permanent Council of the OSCE on 18 April, Ukrinform reports.
"Every day Russia kills people and destroys critical infrastructure in Ukraine. Yesterday there was another terrible attack. Russia fired three missiles into a densely populated area of Chernihiv. At least 18 people were killed and 78 others injured. This is terror at its most horrific. Just one of many cases," she said.
Kuvshynnykova emphasised that Ukraine needs more air defence systems to protect civilian objects, as 97 per cent of attacks are aimed at them.
"Russian propagandists do not hide their intentions, openly stating that their goal is to make Ukrainian cities uninhabitable. In addition to missiles and drones, the Russians are massively dropping guided bombs on Kharkiv, Sumy and other districts and settlements along the frontline," the diplomat said.
