94 clashes occur on Russian-Ukrainian frontline, with Russia pushing in Kurakhove direction

Since the start of October 12, there have been 94 combat engagements at the front, with most of the fighting occurring in the Kurakhove sector - 32 engagements recorded there

Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.

"Russian invaders continue to attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Overall, there have been 94 combat engagements today, primarily in the Kurakhove area," the statement reads. 

Additionally, Russian artillery and mortar fire targeted communities in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, including Chernatske, Kluisy, Hremiach, and Obody. Air strikes targeted areas such as Richky, Katerynivka, Buniakyne, Volfyne, Budky, Shalyhine in the Sumy region; Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, Podoly, Kivsharivka, Krugliakivka, and Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region; and Torske, Yurivka, Toretsk, Petrivka, Myrnohrad, Selydove, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk region. Strikes also hit the regional center and Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Lvove and Poniativka in the Kherson region.

Frontline situation

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces launched ten attacks near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova, Pishchane, Vyshneve, and Miasozharivka since the start of the day, with seven combat engagements still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russia made 11 attacks near Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Nevske, Novosadove, and Torske, but the situation remains under control.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three attempts by Russia to advance near Verkhniokamianske, Ivan-Darivka, and Vyimka, with two battles still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, there were eight firefights around Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces, supported by bombers, attempted to push Ukrainian units out of their positions near Toretsk and Petrivka nine times but faced strong resistance.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy launched 14 assaults in the areas of Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, and Mykhailivka. Ukrainian defense forces held their ground, repelling 13 attacks, with one more battle still ongoing near Selydove.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russian forces attacked 32 times in the direction of Izmailivka, Hirnyk, Kurakhivka, Zhelanne Druhe, Tsukuryne, Novodmytrivka, Novoselydivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Antonivka. Half of their attempts to advance have already been pushed back, with fighting continuing, especially around Katerynivka.

In the Vremivka sector, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to storm our positions near Bohoiavlenka.

In the Orikhiv sector, one enemy attack was repelled near Robotyne.

In other areas, the situation remained unchanged.

  • In the past day, the occupying Russian army lost several units of military equipment and nearly 1,300 personnel at the front.
