71 clashes occur on Russian-Ukrainian frontline: fiercest fighting in Pokrovsk sector

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 4:00 p.m.

“The invaders continue to strike border settlements. Russian artillery fire damaged nine settlements in the Sumy region,” the General Staff stated.

Frontline situation

In the Sumy and Kursk sectors, six clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day, with one ongoing. In addition, the Russians carried out six airstrikes, dropping eleven guided bombs, and fired 202 times at Ukrainian troops’ positions and settlements, including six times from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian units launched six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk and Stroivka, with two clashes ongoing. Russian aviation struck the settlement of Vilkhuvatka with guided bombs.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces stormed Ukrainian positions four times near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zelenyi Hai, with two clashes ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian aggressor attacked ten times near Nadiya, Novoyehorivka, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, Yampilivka, Torske, and toward Serebrianka and Hryhorivka. Two clashes continue.

In the Siversk sector, Russian troops attempted to advance five times near Hryhorivka — all attempts to advance on Ukrainian positions were repelled.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Defense Forces repelled two Russian attempts to advance toward Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian troops four times near Kurdiumivka, Toretsk, Leonidivka, and toward Yablunivka. One battle is ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian defenders twenty-nine times near Popiv Yar, Myrne, Myroliubivka, Malynivka, Koptieve, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Horikhove, and Oleksiivka. Battles continue in three locations.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks near Yalta, Zaporizhzhia, Dniproenerhiya, and Shevchenko. Two clashes are ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian unguided air rocket strikes hit Zaliznychne and Bilohiria.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian aviation strikes targeted Kamianske and Orikhiv.

In the Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovskyi sectors, no clashes have been recorded at this time.
