Ukraine reports 67 fronline clashes, tense situation in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove sectors

Since the beginning of April 14, there have been 67 combat engagements between the two armies at the front. Defense Forces are holding the line in 11 directions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.

"The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the advance of Russian troops and taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. So far, 67 combat clashes have occurred," the report states.

The Russian artillery and mortar fire has affected communities in the settlements of Studenok, Dmytrivka, Buvalyne, Nova Sloboda, Porozok, Prokhody, Svarkove, Petrushivka, Tovstodubove, Doroshivka, Vovkivka, Yermadykine, Bila Beriza, and Utskove in the Sumy region; Russian terrorists also carried out aviation strikes with guided bombs on the areas of the settlements of Osoivka, Mazenyvka, Krasnopillia, Myropilske, Prokhody, Uhroidy, Mykhailivske, Petrushivka, Ryasne, Mala Rybytsia, and Stepok in the Sumy region.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army carried out an airstrike on the Slatyn area.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces launched 13 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Nadiia, Nove, Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Bilohorivka, and Hryhorivka. One of them is still ongoing.

Invading troops are looking for weak points in Ukrainian defense near Verkhniokamianske in the Siversk direction. Defense Forces successfully repelled one Russian attack, and fighting continues.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian troops attempted to advance twice on Ukrainian positions in the area of Chasiv Yar and Andriivka. One clash is still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, four clashes have been completed, and two Russian assault actions are ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance near Ozaryanivka and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the invading Russian forces made 19 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Sukha Balka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Bohdanivka, and Andriivka. The Defense Forces are holding back the pressure and have repelled 16 attacks. Three clashes are still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian enemy made five attempts to break through the Ukrainian defense in the area of the settlements of Kostiantynivka and Rozlyv. One clash is still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Russian enemy carried out aviation strikes with unguided air rockets on Huliaipole and Zaliznychnyi.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Stepove, Lobkove, and Malyi Shcherbaky.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the Russian forces attempted twice to advance toward the positions of Ukrainian units.

In the Kursk direction, since the beginning of the day, 12 battles have taken place, three of which are still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy carried out nine aviation strikes, dropping 23 guided bombs, and conducted 246 artillery bombardments.

There were no significant changes in the situation on the remaining fronts.

  • During the last day, the Russian army lost another 1,300 soldiers on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Since February 2022, the Defense Forces have neutralized more than 933,000 troops.
