Ukraine reports 59 frontline clashes: fiercest fighting in Pokrovsk, Kupiansk sectors

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 4:00 p.m.

As a result of Russian artillery and mortar shellings, 13 communities in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions were affected.

Russian forces also launched airstrikes on four settlements in the Sumy region.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk once.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces launched five attacks near Zahryzove, Kindrashivka, and Petropavlivka. Two clashes are ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops carried out six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novomykhailivka and towards the settlements of Hrekivka, Hlushchenkove, and Olhivka. Three battles are ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian invaders attempted to break through Ukrainian defense near Toretsk, Dachne, and towards Dyliivka. Ukrainian forces repelled all nine assaults.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russians made 13 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Novotoretske, Svyrydonivka, Malynivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Uspenivka, Kotlyarivka, and Andriivka. Ukrainian forces are holding the line — seven attacks have been repelled, and six battles are still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled seven Russian assaults. Russian troops attempted to advance near Kostiantynopil, Pryvilne, and Novosilky.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, and Novodarivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian occupiers launched three attacks towards Mala Tokmachka and near Novoandriivka. Airstrikes hit Lukianivske, Pavlivka, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, and Novoyakovlivka.

In the Siversk, Kramatorsk, and Prydniprovskyi sectors, Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations today.

The operation in the Kursk region is ongoing. Ukrainian forces repelled ten Russian attacks, with two battles still ongoing. The Russian aviation carried out ten strikes, dropping 13 guided bombs. Additionally, Russian invaders fired 196 times, including seven from multiple rocket launch systems.

No significant changes have been observed in other sectors.

• Over the past day, the Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,180 Russian soldiers. In total, during the full-scale invasion, the Russian army lost over 940,000 troops.
