228 frontline clashes erupt on Russia-Ukraine frontline: Ukrainian forces repel 38 attacks in Kursk region

On December 15, 228 combat clashes were recorded at the Russian-Ukrainian front. Russian forces intensified their offensive in the Siversk sector, with 34 attacks reported

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 08:00 a.m.

13 settlements in the Donetsk region were hit by Russian air strikes.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck four Russian manpower and weapons concentrations. In addition, Ukrainian forces targeted another key Russian facility, according to the General Staff.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Vysoka Yaruha, Tykhe, and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk sector, four Russian attacks took place over the past day. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks near Zahryzove and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attacked 20 times, attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses near Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Terny, Tverdokhlibove, and Nadiia.

In the Siversk sector, 34 clashes occurred near Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianske, Ivano-Dariivka, and Vyiimka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked four times near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russian army, supported by aviation, launched 12 attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 32 attacks near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zelenе, Pishchane, and Novoolenivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 32 attacks as Russian troops tried to advance near Stari Terny, Sontsivka, Zoria, Kurakhove, and Uspenivka.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian forces launched 35 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Sukhi Yaly, Rozlyv, Zelenivka, Kostiantynopilske, Trudove, Novyi Komar, Novosilka, and Makarivka, actively using strike and bomber aviation.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the invading Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions five times. They were repulsed and suffered losses.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian army is actively using artillery and attack UAVs from its territory in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian forces repelled 38 attacks. Russian aviation continues to strike its own territory with guided bombs, carrying out five airstrikes.

  • The occupying Russian army lost 1,070 servicemen and dozens of pieces of equipment and weaponry over one day of the war.
